Dream Jar

There is so much I could write about, I don’t know where to begin…

The first 2 weeks of 2017 have been humbling and the biggest and most important thing that I am going to carry with me is Gratitude. Gratitude for every small blessing that has been delivered that is making everyday special, but I will go into this in another post soon.

So I started the year with Carrie Green and my friend on a web conference call. If you don’t know who Carrie Green is, she is the founder of the Female Entreprenuer Association  which I have been following for about a year or so. It was all about goal setting (of course)…one of my fave topics. Throughout the webinar she really got us to start dreaming and believing and creating desire which was super exciting.

Here are a few of the tips  which I will share with you:

  1. To close your eyes and visualise being in December 2017. Let your imagination allow you to be where ever it is you want to be, having achieved all that you had wanted to achieve and with whom you wish to be with. Feel it, smell it, see it and believe it, then write it down. This was really powerful.
  2. The next was to do the same for financial goals, business goals, and happiness & joy…what does happiness and joy feel like to you? Is it having travelled, having money, being with loved ones, successful career, losing weight, being healthy…perhaps all of the above!
  3. (Read these to yourself everyday to remind yourself of your destination).
  4. Another great trick she encouraged was to write down all of your dreams and aspirations on small pieces of paper, fold them up and place them in a dream jar. (Mines a dream jewellery box). Every morning and every night open a piece of paper and really connect with that dream, let it excite you…even if it is for 30 seconds.

So this really kick started my year…and one of my goals was to learn a new language. So I have enrolled at the University to undertake an evening course in Arabic, and what a magical experience it is. I sat in the first class, last week, and could literally feel my brain awakening again. It must be the geek in me, but the vibration of learning and developing the faculty of my mind really excited me and is one of the things I’m super excited about this year. But just taking the steps to enrol and commit was an accomplishment…not because of laziness, but, due to the prime fact that so many of us lose the willpower to pursue our dreams. Dreams are the ingredients to a passionate life, and so by making them a priority in your life should be a priority to you.

Look at how 2016 flew by. Did you achieve all that you wanted to? If not, then leap…or even crawl towards something that you want to do. Fulfil yourself, don’t wait to be fulfilled. It’s a magical thing, because as you start to pour into yourself the things that you want to do and that make you happy, the more you start feeling gratitude, love and appreciation for where you are right now. And the more you feel those emotions the more it will be yielded back to you. So now, my dream jewellery box isn’t just filled with the things I want, but everyday I have been adding something great that has actually happened in my day…slowly turning those dreams into a reality.

What’s the quote…”Happiness is a journey, not a destination” 😉

So for now…drink a little passion and put into gear a dream with desire.
